Orange and Yogurt Smoothie

Hereā€™s a delicious smoothie thatā€™s healthy enough to be breakfast and sweet enough to be an afternoon snack. Oranges are loaded with vitamin C and the yogurt adds some protein and a substantial amount of calcium.

Ingredients

(2 servings)

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 medium frozen banana
  • ½ cup plain greek yogurt
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • orange zestfrom 1 orange
  • 1 large orangepeeled and segmented
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon honeymaple syrup, or agave

Directions

  • Add ice, banana, yogurt, orange juice, vanilla, orange zest, oranges, ground flaxseed, and honey in a blender.
  • Process until smooth, about 60 to 90 seconds.
